The journey around Mount Kailash is a special pilgrimage that covers 52 kilometers in total. You will travel 10 kilometers by car, and walk the rest. The main path, called the outer kora, is a 42-kilometer trek split into three parts: 12 kilometers from Tarboche to Dirapuk, 22 kilometers from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk, and 8 kilometers from Zuthulpuk to Chongdo.
There is also an inner kora, which is more challenging. It has three main sections: a 6-kilometer hike to touch the base of Mount Kailash, an 18-kilometer trek from Shiva Tsal to Zuthulpuk, and the Nandi Kora. The Nandi Kora starts in Darchen and includes walks around Nandi Mountain, Ashtapad, Atma Linga, and the Saptarishi Caves.
